Help for Urinary and Bladder Problems

Your quality of life can be greatly reduced by urinary incontinence or bladder pain. Our goal is to provide a diagnosis and treatment that will help you return to normal life activities.

Urinary Incontinence

If you’ve experienced urine leakage due to a simple laugh, cough or sneeze, then you know how troublesome incontinence can be. If left untreated, incontinence can lead to a dramatic interruption of your activities and lifestyle.

You should know that you are not alone. Twenty-nine percent of women over age 45 have incontinence issues, and that number increases to 48% for women over age 65. You can regain freedom by seeking treatment.

Tell Dr. Morrison if urinary incontinence is interfering with your life. He can conduct bladder testing – including urodynamic tests -- and begin treatment right in his office. Dr. Morrison offers non-surgical and surgical incontinence treatments including same-day procedures.

One of today’s most common and effective incontinence treatments is the minimally invasive sling procedure. During this procedure, a mesh sling is inserted through an incision and placed under the urethra to form a cradle of support. This procedure can be completed in less than an hour in an outpatient setting.

Painful Bladder Syndrome

Also called interstitial cystitis, this condition causes inflammation of the bladder wall lining. It can cause discomfort or pain in the bladder or pelvic area, as well as an urgent or frequent need to urinate. Many women with IC/PBS have other conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and fibromyalgia. Dr. Morrison provides testing and treatment for painful bladder syndrome.
